Our Staff

xxxThe laboratory has a dedicated staff that is concerned with producing quality work which provides our patients with accurate and timely diagnoses. All of our technicians, who have been at STDL between 2-24 years, are HT(ASCP) certified. The retention of dedicated employees ensures quality results. The combined average histotech work experience of our technicians is over 21 years. The laboratory has a great support staff of laboratory assistants, lab helpers and couriers to aid in quality patient care.

 

 

Sharon Whitley

xxxSharon is the laboratory supervisor. She received her HT (ASCP) certification after completing the HT program at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Histology Program in 1980. She joined STDL in 1983. Sharon is dedicated to maintaining a safe and proficient lab to provide the dermatopathologists at STDL the highest quality slides for diagnosis.
